Blake McDonald

A 4.0 student at Newport High, Blake played football, basketball, and ran track.  Blake was involved with DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) and ASPEN (AIDS Student Peer Educators at Newport).  He is an Eagle Scout and volunteered with Special Olympics, Junior Knights Football along with others.

Blake started his first year of college at Brigham Young University.  He will serve a two-year full time mission before graduating.  Although Blake has not identified a major, he will be focused on selecting a career that will allow him to provide for, and be with, his future family often as well as to serve his community.

Natty Plunkett

Natty ran cross country and track at Newport High while enrolled in Spanish Immersion.  Natty has been performing in her church's two youth choirs since 6th grade.  Additionally, she volunteered at Kelsey Creek Farm and Seattle Humane Society as well as mentored at Tillicum Middle School.

Natty is attending Seattle Pacific University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Global and Urban Ministries.  She plans to obtain a Masters in Social Work while interning at a federal or state welfare organization.  Natty hopes that her career will enable her to speak Spanish, work in an urban setting, and partner with families to overcome their social, economic, emotional, and environmental obstacles.

Jordan Heide

While attending Newport High, Jordan switched to focus on swimming and water polo after her injured back prevented her from participating in land sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, and volleyball.  Jordan quickly developed a passion for water polo and helped lead the school team to its first State Title in 2007.  She was also actively involved as Peer Tutor, Link Crew Leader, and Student to Student Ambassador while volunteered as youth swim and water polo coach during the last 4 summers.

Jordan attends Bucknell University to pursue studies in Journalism and Political Science with the possibility to study law after graduation.  She will be playing Division 1 Water Polo as the top recruit of the incoming freshman class.
